Nuno Matos graduated in 1993 in law from the law department of the Lusíada University of Lisbon and attended the master's programme in Legal and Business Sciences at the institution.
He began his professional career in 1993 practising law in the various areas of civil, commercial, real estate and employee law, which he still practices.
Between 2010 and 2013 he was Legal Adviser to the Grândola City Council.
He was also a lecturer in the law department of the Lusíada University of Lisbon from 1993 to 2006, being involved in the curricular units of Community Law, Commercial Law and Economic Law. In 1995 at the same faculty, he was assistant to Professor Ignace Maselis on the European Community Litigation course..
