Nelson Rocha graduated in 1994 in law from the Law Department of the Lusíada University of Lisbon, having attended the master's programme in Legal-Business Sciences and the doctoral programme in Legal-Commercial Sciences.
In 1994 he began his professional career practising law with a focus on civil, commercial, administrative and tax law.
Between 1994 he was a lecturer in the Law Department of the Lusíada University of Lisbon, being involved in the curricular units of Civil Law, Company Law and Banking Law until 2019, when he ceased to be a lecturer in them.
He has participated in several lectures and conferences.
From 1996 to 2006 he was also a legal advisor to the Directorate-General for National Monuments and Buildings, where he followed public procurement procedures and public works contracts.
He was arbitrator in several arbitrations.
He is a member of the General Assembly of several public limited companies.
